Learning Resources

The museum is a wonderful educational resource, which we are keen to share with schools and the whole community.

The museum can cater for a wide range of educational purposes, from Primary classes to Sixth Form study groups, to Special Needs. It is of obvious appeal to those studying the history of the English Civil War, World War I, World War II, or the Cold War, but it can also provide the stimulus for areas of study as diverse as Creative Writing, Art & Design, and Travel & Tourism.

Guided tours and displays can be individually tailored to meet the needs of the children and the requirements of the National Curriculum. Please contact the curator to discuss and plan your visit.

We’d love to hear your stories, or experiences, about your time with the serving regiment, or one of our antecedent regiments.

Stories can relate to, but are not limited to:

* your experiences whilst serving;
* family life, home or overseas;
* places you enjoy visiting;
* or, photos of 5 objects that mean something to you and tell the story of who you are.

Your stories will be used as inspiration for future exhibitions, or even feature in the “articles” section.

You can send your entries in a range of formats such as photographs, artwork, drawings, in writing or via a short video.
