Cpl Monty Moreton tragically died on 27 November 1989 during ‘C’ Squadron’s annual firing period.
Cpl Moreton joined the Army in May 1977 and worked his way up the Regiment as a Signals Instructor and tank commander.
He joined ‘C’ Squadron in 1989 as an acting Troop Sgt and successfully took part in the busy 1989 training programme.
Monty was a happy, bright and intelligent JNCO with a most promising future. He will always be remembered for his professionalism and above all else for his kindness and care to all those around him.
We will greatly miss him and we offer his family and many friends our deepest condolences.
