Operation Banner was the operational name for the British Armed Forces’ operation in Northern Ireland from August 1969 to July 2007, as part of the Troubles.

Operation Banner refers to the deployment of British soldiers in Northern Ireland.

We’d love to hear your stories, or experiences, about your time with the serving regiment, or one of our antecedent regiments.

Stories can relate to, but are not limited to:

* your experiences whilst serving;
* family life, home or overseas;
* places you enjoy visiting;
* or, photos of 5 objects that mean something to you and tell the story of who you are.

Your stories will be used as inspiration for future exhibitions, or even feature in the “articles” section.

You can send your entries in a range of formats such as photographs, artwork, drawings, in writing or via a short video.
