Greece, 1941

The Theatre Honour of ‘Greece, 1941’ covering the period from 10th to 29th April, commemorates the brief and unhappy campaign when British Commonwealth forces were hurriedly sent to that country in the endeavour to prevent a German occupation, and in the end, were compelled to evacuate the country before all the intended forces had been landed. The British force included the 6th Australian Division, the New Zealand division, and the 1st British Armoured Brigade Group.

The Honour is borne on the Guidon of the 4th Hussars.
