On Saturday 13th April the Regimental Museum hosted a visit by the Redditch Troop and the Bromsgrove Troop ACF two of the five Midlands Region ACF Troops sponsored by the Regiment. A further ACF Troop is situated in Northern Ireland, also sponsored by the Regiment, The Comber Detachment, 2NI Battalion, ACF.

The Regiment kindly sent up a young soldier from their base in Tidworth to represent them, answer questions from the 24 Cadets on the recruitment process, and share his personal experiences since joining the Regiment.

The Cadets were given a full tour of the Museum and allowed to handle a selection of the Museum’s Weapons Collection that are not normally on public display.

We hope that the Cadets’ visit will kindle the desire to further their interest in the military and perhaps lead to some eventually joining the ranks of The Queen’s Royal Hussars.
