This officer has been Adjutant of the Regiment throughout the campaign and has taken part in every action the regiment has fought.

On the 29th June 1940 during the night attack on Fort CAPUZZO his tank was hit by an A/Tk gun. Again on 24th January 1941 during an engagement with enemy cruiser tanks an A/Tk shell passed through the turret of his tank, wounding the operator and destroying the wireless set. He transferred to his spare tank and carried on his duties as Regimental rear link.

His devotion to duty, personal courage and indomitable good spirits, even when suffering from considerable desert sores has been an inspiration and example to all ranks.

His accurate and concise W/T reports have enabled the Brigade Commander to obtain a clear picture of operations.
