On 15 Jul 40, at the battle of CAPUZZO this NCO’s troop was flank guard to a squadron advancing on the Fort.
Although under heavy fire continually from the guns of the Fort he maintained his position and only withdrew when the squadron had successfully disengaged from the enemy.
He showed great coolness and initiative on every occasion when the regiment went into action.
He has consistently done good work in the field.
