On April 13th, 1941 in the neighbourhood of PTOLEMAIS despite being under close range fire of enemy light and medium tanks, Captain De MORAVILLE disposed his tank in front of another disabled tank of his squadron, so enabling its crew to evacuate it in safety.

Throughout the operation and particularly on April 7th 1941, when in command of an isolated mixed detachment of all arms, charged with some important demolitions, he displayed the highest qualities of leadership, intelligence and cool courage.
