On Nov 2nd 1942, just before fight light on SIDI RAHAM track, ‘B’ Squadron The King’s Own Hussars were very heavily engaged at extremely close range by enemy A/T guns.

Lt Dorman, a Troop Leader in this squadron, led his troop with great coolness and efficiency in the face of very heavy A/T gun fire.

His own tank destroyed one 88mm and two 50mm guns at very close range thereby greatly assisting the remainder of his squadron who were under heavy fire from these guns.

Later in the day he engaged and destroyed two enemy tanks and another 88mm gun before his own tank was hit and put out of action.

This officer showed great coolness in the execution of his duty.
