Stanley died on 6 October 1994.
He joined the 4th Hussars Band in January 1956 while they were stationed in Hohne and left them on discharge in October 1957.
He was a popular and talented member of the Regimental Band.
Shortly after his discharge, he joined the Band of the Northumberland Hussars, remaining with them until July 1960.
He was a member of the 1st Durham Troop and enjoyed keeping in touch with comrades of his days in the 4th Queen’s Own Hussars.
