Bill Wallace joined the Army in December 1972 and was posted to ‘C & S’ Squadron on completion of training at Catterick. He then tried his hand at being a clerk and worked as one until 1975 when he then returned to crewman duties.

He worked very hard during this time and then went on a D & M Instructors course which benefited not only him but also the Regiment, as he instructed in his fair share of courses.

He died in October 1980 of a Cerebral Hemorrhage whilst in his married quarter.
