Lt Col Andrew Currell who died recently served with the 8th Kings Royal Irish Hussars in both the South African and 1914-18 Wars. He eventually obtained Command of the Regiment in 1924 until his retirement in 1928.

An excellent horseman, Colonel Currell was a keen follower of the Meath Hunt and was Hunt Secretary for 22 years.

He leaves a widow and two daughters to whom we send our deepest sympathy in their bereavement.
