Charles died suddenly on 28 May 1976, just before his 68th birthday.

He joined the 7th Hussars in 1925 and went with the Regiment to Egypt. In 1938 he left as W.O.II for a Commission and returned to Egypt for 4 years, he also saw service in Italy, France and Germany.

On leaving the army he worked as a Civil Servant in Aldershot.

He was keenly interested in his church and enjoyed being a member of the choir.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to his wife Anne.
