Horace died on 1 June 1991, aged 78.

He joined the 7th Queen’s Own Hussars in 1934 and transferred to the 4th Queen’s Own Hussars in 1941. He joined ‘B’ Squadron.

He was wounded and taken prisoner during the Battle of Knightsbridge in June 1942.

He was repatriated in May 1944.

Horace was an exemplary soldier, and a loyal supporter of his Regiment and the Regimental Association.
