With deep regret, we record the death of SSgt Harry Nicholls, known to us all as ‘Nick’.

He served with the 4th Queen’s Own Hussars from 1946 and subsequently the ‘Irish Hussars’ until discharge in 1970.

During his service he was mostly engaged as a D & M instructor — a trade he carried on in civilian life, as a driving instructor in Bournemouth.

He was in regular attendance at Old Comrades’ dinners, especially those of Wool Troop.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him as a true and loyal friend.
