Mr Mortlock died at his home in Brighton on 6th February 1953.
He joined the 3rd Hussars in 1898 and was with it in the South African and First World Wars. He left in 1919 with the rank of S.S.M.
He had been ill for some years and recently was bedridden. He died after a long illness, bravely borne.
We offer our deep sympathy to his wife, who had nursed and looked after him.
