Trooper Anthony David Early was born on 3 December 1960. He joined the Regiment in January 1979 and was given the job of a tank crewman in ‘D’ Squadron.
He was a cheerful young man-enthusiastic about life, dedicated to his family, the Regiment and his Squadron, proud of his achievements and hopeful for the future.
Whether he was performing military duties, playing football for his Squadron, or indulging in his hobby of photography, Tony Early always attempted to do his best.
On the morning of 16 December, 1981 Trooper Early was severely injured while working on his tank. He died of these injuries on Christmas morning.
His passing away has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be long remembered and very sorely missed. Our heartfelt condolences go to Tony’s entire family.
