We have to report with regret the death on training of Tpr Eric Gibbons of H.Q. Squadron. He was in the Recce Troop and joined the 3rd Hussars in October 1955.
He was killed in a Scout car accident at the Haltern training area on 25th May 1956.
Tpr Gibbons, who was a very fine table tennis player and a member of the Regimental team which won the Divisional Championships in 1956, was very popular in his squadron, and his death came as a great shock to his friends.
Our most sincere sympathy goes to his family in their great loss.
