Harry died on 3 January 1988.

He joined the 8th Hussars in 1932 at Aldershot, moving with them to Hounslow in 1933, with over 400 horses.

In 1934 the Regiment moved to Egypt, and Harry took part in the last Mounted Parade on 11 November 1935.

He saw action in the desert operations up until the end of 1942 when he was posted home to the Training Establishment.

He returned to Regimental Duty in 1944 before being released in March 1946.

He was a keen sportsman and was a member of the winning ‘B’ Squadron Football Team of 1936.

He was a man who had lots of very good friends.
