Ivan Nock enlisted on 27th October 1959 and after training at Catterick joined The Queen’s Own Hussars at Tidworth in March 1960.
In the same year, he moved with the Regiment to BAOR and was employed in SHQ of ‘A’ Squadron. In the following year, he was posted to the RAC Depot for employment on the permanent staff.
From there he took his discharge in 1963 and settled in Stockport.
Ivan was born in Glasgow in 1940 and on leaving school was employed as a laboratory assistant until joining the Army.
For many years he was the Regimental Association Standard Bearer both for The Queen’s Own Hussars and The Queen’s Royal Hussars.
He died on 12th October 2006 aged 66.
