Gerry died on 14 May 1993.
He joined The Queen’s Royal Irish Hussars in September 1960 whilst they were at Hohne.
He moved with them from Tidworth to Aden and on to Malaya.
He received a medical discharge in August 1963.
Gerry was a loyal and supportive member of the Regimental Association and kept in close touch with Home Headquarters.
He was a keen sportsman and refereed football matches for teams in the Launceston area for many years. He was also an enthusiastic Darts player.
