George died on 24 June 1991.
He joined the 8th King’s Royal Irish Hussars from the 1st Royal Gloucestershire Hussars in April 1944.
He, like those other wonderful people who joined the 8th Hussars at the time, soon settled in and became a true 8th Hussar Corporal.
On discharge, he enlisted into the TA and retired in 1967 as a WO2 AQMS.
