Edward Walker died on February 4th, 1963, aged 73 years.

He served with the 3rd Hussars from 1909 to 1931 and retired as Squadron Sergeant Major.

During the First World War, he was awarded the M.M. for Gallantry in action in France and was twice mentioned in Dispatches.

After retirement, he took up employment with the Ordnance Depot at Shorncliffe and Ashford.
