Portrait: Colonel Unett

Walter Unett of The 3rd Light Dragoons commanded a squadron during the troubles in Afghanistan in 1842.

He was badly injured at Chillianwallah but recovered to resume command of his squadron for the decisive final battle of the Second Sikh Wars at Goojerat.

The Mess is in possession of two strikingly similar portraits of Unett, one as a Captain and the other as a Colonel.
