The Queen’s Royal Hussars Museum’s first live event – the Smith Street Fair, which was held on the 23rd of July, 2022, – has been and gone, and we’ve certainly made quite an impression on the community!
Our camo-net stand at the top of the street drew plenty of people, most of whom wanted to try on the kit, have a go at our puzzle games, and ask questions to our team.
Andy Milton (ex-QOH), currently serving with the QOWWY, came in uniform and cut quite a figure – even if he wasn’t badged to the Regiment!
Lots of children were really keen to try on the Osprey body armour, and Andy ensured that they were all able to get it on and off without getting tangled up!
Bill Shirley (also ex-QOH) also came for the day, and his presence allowed us to man both a stall and the Museum.
All in all a great day, well-attended and much enjoyed.
Our thanks go to everyone who stopped by, and above all our volunteers who helped to make the day such a success.
We’ll be advertising future events on this site in the future so keep your eyes peeled!
