This officer went to his Squadron Leader’s aid when he was severely wounded, and having dismounted from his tank forced prisoners at the point of the revolver to mount his own tank.

He then drove the prisoners out of action and took over control of the squadron and reorganised it for battle.

In the face of the enemy he showed initiative and courage.

He has consistently shown a fine example in the field.
