This outstanding officer has commanded his Regiment throughout these operations with great distinction, and proved himself to be a calm, resolute and fine leader.

Of the many successful tank actions, the majority have been due to this officer’s reconnaissance and planning, followed by his skillful control of the actual operations.

The cheerful acceptance of casualties and very high morale of this regiment, are due to the example their commanding officer and the confidence he inspires.

Throughout these operations he has been an inspiration to all ranks.
