We regret to announce the death of Sgt David Raymond Hubbard who served in the 3rd Hussars from 1946 to 1953.
Sgt. Hubbard was one of three brothers who served with the Regiment; he was a member of the basketball team and also a very fine shot.
In 1953 he left the Army and emigrated to New Zealand, where his spare time was devoted to hunting over both the North and South Islands.
He met his death while taking part in an officially sponsored deer hunt, as the result of a shooting accident.
We offer our deepest sympathy to his family in their loss.
