‘Jock’ Marshall died on March 30th 1971.

He enlisted in the 7th Hussars in 1925 and served with the Regiment until 1943 when he transferred to the 16/5th Lancers.

He was awarded the D.C.M. for outstanding bravery at the battle of Sidi Rezegh when serving with “C’ Squadron, 7th Hussars.

After the war, he was awarded the M.B.E. for outstanding service as R.S.M. of the 16/5th Lancers.

A man of tremendous drive and good humour he will be sadly missed by all his many friends in the Regiment and also at the Regimental Association Reunion which he frequently attended.

Our deepest sympathy is extended to his wife Molly and his son who also served in the Regiment.
