Frank died on 14 July 1988.
He enlisted in December 1928 into The Royal Tank Corps and joined the 4th Battalion in 1932.
He transferred to the Royal Army Ordnance Corps and was transferred to the 8th King’s Royal Irish Hussars in May 1941, remaining with them until May 1942, when he was taken prisoner at Bir Hacheim.
He remained a prisoner in Italy until May 1945.
He did not return to the 8th Hussars but was on secondment in Somali and East Africa until his medical discharge in November 1950.
