Trooper Pryce-Hucklesby died as a result of a traffic accident in the Paderborn area on Wednesday 4th August 1976.

On first joining the Regiment, Tpr Pryce-Hucklesby was posted to ‘A’ Squadron where he spent a year driving a Tank, firstly in SHQ Troop and then in 3rd Troop.

Shortly after this, he transferred to Administrative Squadron, qualified as a Dog Handler, and became a founder member of our Dog Troop. He enjoyed working with dogs and became an expert in their handling. This highlights the patience and determination of his approach and management to the dogs he had under his care.

A kind and considerate soldier who enjoyed helping others and made a great many friends both in and out of the Regiment.

After some 3 years as a Dog Handler, he transferred to MT Troop where he quickly settled in, played a leading part in many of the troop’s activities and became an accepted and very popular member of that troop.
