Following the award of the Freedom of the Town by Warwick District Council, one of the highest civic honours a local authority can bestow, The Queen’s Royal Hussars proudly exercised their ceremonial right to march through Warwick on Saturday the 20th of June 2026 with Colours flying and bayonets fixed.

The town turned out in force to celebrate, and the Museum were delighted to welcome a record-breaking 346 visitors to the Museum throughout the day!

Another highlight was the incredible performance by the Regiment’s Pipes & Drums, who entertained visitors for over two hours with a mix of collective and solo performances. The music drew large crowds, with many stopping along Priory Road to watch and listen!

We were also pleased to welcome members of the Regiment back to the Museum following the parade, and would like to thank everyone who helped make the day such a success!
