On the 1st December, 1941 the 8th Hussars were leading the advance of the Brigade to relieve the New Zealand Division.
This officer has done consistently well throughout this campaign.
On 5th Nov 1951 No 3 Troop ‘B’ Sqn 8H was ordered to give close support to the Royal Leicestershire Regiment in their counter attack on Pt 217 and UNITED which had been captured by the enemy the previous night.
This outstanding officer has commanded his Regiment throughout these operations with great distinction, and proved himself to be a calm, resolute and fine leader.
This officer has been Adjutant of the Regiment throughout the campaign and has taken part in every action the regiment has fought.
On 6th March 1942 at PEGU Lt Parry was ordered to take his troop from PEGU TO HLEGU and take with him the Brigade Major of the 48th Infantry Brigade.
